2026 MGC Men’s Season Long Senior Cup
Information
Season #5—May 26th-Sept. 8th 2026
16 weeks & 17 events of season long senior competition at MGC & MGC reciprocal courses with all play on Tuesdays; with the one exception being the MGC Senior Club Championship, which will be played on Thurs. June 25th; MGC pro shop to make tee times. Rain out dates may necessitate moving makeups to an alternate day.
All male members of MGC over the age of 60 at the beginning of the 2026 calendar year are eligible to participate.
Participants only need to play in 12 of the 17 scheduled events to qualify for year end points total. Players are encouraged to play in all 17 events. If you play in more than 12 events, only your best 12 events will count towards the season long points total. FedEx style points are awarded weekly to players participating on a net handicap basis to gross score.
EX: 22 players in event: 1st low net would garner 22 pts., 2nd place 21 pts., 3rd 20 pts. with last out of 22-man field receiving only 1 pt; net score for round determines ranking & points. On rounds at MGC you must play the dedicated 18 of the day and with another MGC Senior Cup participant. Turn in your scorecard to the MGC pro shop on completion of your round and identify which tees you played from so the MGC staff can establish appropriate handicaps for the day. Your choice of tees; Gold, Blue, White or Red.
On the 11 Tuesdays with play at MGC an optional senior event for the day will be held with variable games. A $5-$10 entry for those that wish to participate will be returned in pro shop credit to winners of the day event. You will play with your regular group at your regular time on all Tuesdays when play is at MGC. The committee will do all pairings on “Travel Tuesdays” to reciprocal courses with a $10 travel day game.
Weekly spreadsheets will be available to track your season long points total.
$75 entry (Same as 2025) to participate in the MGC Season Long Senior Cup, payable online or in cash to the pro shop before your first day of play on the inaugural day of May 26th, 2026.
Payouts at end of season long competition will be based on the number of entries. All entrants will have 60% of their meal cost for the finale banquet covered with 100 % of the balance paid to 60% of the field participating based on your season long points total for your 12 best events.
12 rounds will be played at MGC and 5 reciprocal travel dates are planned on Tuesdays throughout the summer season. Please email [email protected] or call (920-299-0484) 6-7 days before scheduled reciprocal dates to get in the field as the travel days are limited to the first 28 players.
All Travel Tuesdays and the semifinals on Sept. 1st, 2026 are 2X point days; as is the MGC Senior Club Championship on Thurs. June 25th, 2026. The finale on the 8th of Sept. is a 3X point day. All other play dates at MGC are 1X point days.
USGA RULES of PLAY: Breakfast ball allowed on first tee with same club & all putts must be holed out. All holes must be finished with putts holed out and gross score recorded; competition is total net score with all strokes counted!
